While Jesus is no longer physically present on earth, He has left His church to proclaim the glorious grace of God. We are here to proclaim that Jesus saves.

The church is made up of so many different people with different backgrounds, personalities, and skill sets. And yet, God uses each individual of the church to strengthen the church.

Persecution, though intended to stifle the Gospel, instead amplifies the spreading of the gospel. The church should expect persecution, imprisonment, and even death, but none of these things should strike fear into our hearts. We can be sure God will accomplish His will even through violent hands.

The church is filled with people still fighting their sinful flesh. At times, conflict arises, disagreements happen, and repentance and forgiveness is needed. The gospel reminds us that the devil is a divider and that we should seek to dwell together with our brothers and sisters in Christ-like unity.

Each of us has a choice: to surrender to our own desires or to surrender to the one true Lord of Lords. We bow to the Lord because we deeply believe that a life surrendered to Jesus is worth whatever He calls us to do.

The church is positioned to be the one who disciples new believers to grow in the grace and truth of Jesus. By teaching one another the teachings of Jesus, we rejoice in the sanctifying power of the gospel that continually makes us more like Jesus.

The Church is not immune to needing help and when help is needed, the church stands in to serve one another. God has called us to serve others the same way Christ came to serve us by willingly and inconveniently dying for the sins of the world.

The church is an outpost of heaven that dwells within God-ordained, earthly governments. How do we live as citizens of the eternal Heaven as we live as citizens of a mortal nation? With hope, we look to the king of kings who holds all kingdoms in His hand.

The Church that is united has all things in common. When one member hurts, the whole church hurts. When one member has needs, the church meets those needs. We generously give to reflect the generous salvation that Jesus has freely given to us.

The Church has been given a mission from Jesus to take the Gospel message of to all the people. This mission is our mission today and with boldness, we proclaim that Jesus Christ came to save sinners and lovingly invite these sinners to repent and by faith believe in Jesus.

We are first and foremost, to be Gospel people. The Gospel must drive everything we do as a church and as individuals.

The church is the redeemed people of God and in God’s plan for the church, the church lives together in unity. There are no isolated Christians. We live together in harmony with one another, reflecting the peace that only Jesus brings.
