By faith we follow a God who is always faithful.

The leadership of Joshua as the people of Israel face the great task of not only entering the promised land but also conquering the people groups therein reminds us that the Christian life is not one of ease and relaxation but one of battle and strategy.

Coming out of the Armor of God series, we know the fight is not against flesh and blood, but the fighting recorded in these stories represent the struggles we face. They also remind us of the faithfulness of God and that His ways may sometimes seem strange to us, but we must lock our faith into the path of victory that He promises to accomplish.

From Servant to Leader

Joshua 1:1-9

Before Joshua led Israel into the Promised Land, God had prepared him through years of serving Moses and walking in obedience. Like Joshua, when we see circumstances that are greater than what we think we can handle, we must trust God’s instructions to us and faithfully follow His commands.
