After the great list of faith heroes, we see the writer has made his point in presenting God’s faithfulness. But then we see that others did not have the “happy ending” for which we might have hoped. Was God absent in their stories? Did they not have enough faith? No- their faith was commended, and the way God fulfills His promises is not always the path we would have chosen. Think about times where God’s will was not your will, and how you handled that tension.
