The Christian life is spiritual warfare.

The Armor of God is a gift from God as he desires to equip us in the fight against sin and temptation. Each piece of the armor is crucial in our fight, but also a beautiful representation of the gospel of Jesus that covers us. Every Christian must stand in the strength of the Lord and never in their own strength. This is a war we cannot win on our own power, but through Jesus, we are Gospel champions.

Put on the Breastplate of Righteousness

Ephesians 6:14b

Take the Sword of the Spirit

Ephesians 6:17b

A soldier will never go into battle without a sword, yet, many Christians neglect God’s Word in spiritual warfare. God’s Word is sharper than a two-edged sword and is an essential requirement against sin and temptation.
