God’s judgment against Israel and Judah comes about from the unjust and selfish actions of their political and spiritual leaders. He has clearly set out His desire for his people, and His accusations are based on their willful defiance against His law. Destruction is imminent and deserved. Despite all this, God will keep His promise and eventually restore and reunite His people.
